House Call
We know that it can be hard to make it to our animal hospital for a variety of reasons. Maybe your pet’s health is deteriorating or you have mobility limitations. Whatever the reason, the veterinarians and staff at LSPCA Veterinary Hospital are dedicated to serving pets and their people, regardless of your ability to make it to our hospital.
Our house call services
We aim to make our vet house calls as comprehensive as possible so you and your pet can avoid unnecessary trips to the hospital. However, there are only so many things we can bring with us! When you call to set up your appointment, we’ll ask what services your pet requires so that we can bring all the necessary equipment. The services we perform at house calls include:
- Well and sick animal exams
- Vaccine administration
- Euthanasia
- Diagnostic samples- blood draws, blood smears, faecal, urine, skin scrapings
Once we complete our exam, we will take any samples we’ve collected to our hospital for testing. We will call you with the results once we have them and discuss treatment options. If your pet requires further care at our hospital, we’ll talk to you about their options and determine the best course of action for your pet—with both their needs and your needs in mind.
