Vaccinations

Vaccines protect your dog or cat against a variety of infectious diseases, such as the deadly Parvo, Distemper and Rabies.
At LSPCA Veterinary Hospital, we tailor cat and dog vaccinations to each individual patient so your pet only receives the vaccines they need. While some vaccines are considered “core” and are recommended for most cats and dogs, others are “lifestyle” vaccines that we only recommend based on your pet’s exposure to risk.
During your first visit, we’ll talk to you in-depth about your pet’s lifestyle so we can get a deeper understanding of the vaccines they’ll need to stay healthy. Then, we’ll reassess your pet’s needs every year to see if changes need to be made.
When Does my pet need vaccines?
Puppies and kittens start a vaccination series in their first weeks of life, and they’ll require regular boosters throughout their lives to remain immune.
